Comprehensive Collision Inspection

You do not need to bring the vehicle for a Comprehensive Collision Inspection if it is 6 years old or younger and without damage. All older vehicles must be brought in for inspection at the nearest branch.

In order for us to issue a Comprehensive Collision Insurance policy, the vehicle must be photographed as follows:

  • The photos must be clear and taken in good lighting conditions.
  • The vehicle must be clean, and its entire exterior must be visible.
  • Photos must be taken from corner to corner so that the front, rear, and both sides are visible. The license plate should be visible in the photos where possible.
  • Photos must be dated on the day the insurance is to take effect or otherwise identified to show the date they were taken.
  • If the photos show damage or any other defects, the vehicle must be brought in for inspection at the nearest Sjóvá branch.
  • The Comprehensive Collision Insurance policy will not take effect unless the vehicle is undamaged.
