Insurance in Iceland
It is important to insure oneself against accidents and mishaps. In Iceland some types of insurance are mandatory, like insurance for vehicles and insurance for properties. Life and critical illness insurance is not mandatory but we strongly recommend that new residents also buy Medical Cost Insurance for their first six months in Iceland.
