Things to keep in mind:
If the vehicle is undriveable, the right to compensation or a rental car applies from the date of the accident until the repair is completed.
If you have Comprehensive Collision Insurance and are enrolled in the loyalty program Stofn, you are entitled to compensation or a rental car while the vehicle is being repaired (for up to 7 days), even if you were at fault and the damage is not covered. On Mitt Sjóvá, you can check which insurance you have and whether you are in Stofn.
