While your Vehicle is Being Repaired

• You contact us after the repair is completed and receive the total amount transferred to your bank account.
• The compensation is based on a reasonable number of repair days. Compensation is not calculated for delays in the delivery of spare parts, for example.

Once we have confirmed that the damage is covered, you contact us, and we send a request to the rental company, or you contact them directly.

Things to keep in mind:

• A rental car can only be provided in Iceland.
• The rental car is in category A (small car).
• The maximum mileage for the rental car is 100 km per day.
• Review the rental company’s terms regarding the lessee’s liability.
• The lessee must be at least 20 years old.
• The lessee must present a credit card at the rental company.

If the vehicle is undriveable, the right to compensation or a rental car applies from the date of the accident until the repair is completed.

If you have Comprehensive Collision Insurance and are enrolled in the loyalty program Stofn, you are entitled to compensation or a rental car while the vehicle is being repaired (for up to 7 days), even if you were at fault and the damage is not covered.
